It is crafted through the hydro-distillation of jasmine flowers, resulting in a fragrant, reddish-brown liquid that captures the rich, intense, and complex floral aroma of jasmine. 

One of the most renowned centers for attar production is Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh, India, where artisans have been perfecting this craft for centuries. The process involves distilling jasmine blossoms with sandalwood essential oil, producing a harmonious blend that is both soothing and captivating.
